Hymns for the Church year

Peter Jewkes, Organist of Christ Church St Laurence, Sydney and the 2011 Bathurst Summer School, will lead this event which will look at the different traditions and place of hymns within worship contexts. Peter has a wealth of knowledge across the different traditions of hymnody and is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading liturgical accompanists. Attendees will be given a booklet containing the hymns being discussed and will be encouraged to share their vocal enthusiasm in the singing of the hymns. This event will be followed by the Annual General Meeting of the Branch.

Annual General Meeting

Following the Hymn workshop (at approximately 3.00pm), the Annual General Meeting of RSCM Australia New South Wales Branch Incoporated will be held.

Member who are unable to attend the meeting may complete the Proxy Form printed on the last page of the February edition of Newsclef. Each current member is entitled to appoint another member as proxy by notice given to the Secretary not less than 24 hours before the time of the meeting.
